White lightning will de-grease and remove all debris from your furniture, kitchen cabinets or whatever you want to paint. White Lightning will prep your piece and help you achieve the best outcome for your painted masterpiece.
Mix 2 heaping TBS in 1 Gallon of hot water. Use a lint free rag, wet with white lightning solution. Clean your piece well, until you see no more dirt or grime. Then make sure you wipe your piece with clean water to remove any White Lightning residue.
Do not let puddles develop. Let dry prior to painting.
I like to have it premade and ready to go by making it in a smaller container and then pouring it into a spray bottle which I’ve labeled as White Lightning. You will need to adjust the amount of powdered White Lightning added, depending on the size of your spray bottle. I then have another spray bottle labeled with Water and I can easily and quickly get my projects prepped. For particularly grimy projects, I have a scrubby sponge designated just for cleaning with White Lightning and let the White Lightning sit for a minute before I start scrubbing. If it’s a large project, the first part that I’ve sprayed is usually ready to be scrubbed by the time I finish spraying the cleaner on the entire piece. Remember to rinse well with your water spray bottle before drying the piece off. If you’re ever unsure, you can always rinse again.
